Exhibit Information:
The Marlborough Public Schools Visual Arts Department and Subliminal Skate Park would like to invite you and your students to participate in our upcoming art exhibit “Subliminal Messages.”
At Marlborough Public Schools we strive to make meaningful connections with our students and provide them with authentic learning experiences that incorporate 21st century skills. One of our most successful ventures was to combine traditional art experiences with Skateboard Design. Through our various community partnerships, we are lucky enough to have put together amazing art exhibitions in the past and are very much looking forward to working with Subliminal Skate Park for our 2012 exhibition.
Through our experiences at Subliminal Skate Park, we have decided to title the show “Subliminal Messages” and encourage anyone (all ages) to submit artwork that deals with this theme, or is inspired by skate and street culture. Images will be juried for appropriateness. Please see resources section of website for additional materials that may be helpful for instruction or inspiration.
REQUIREMENTS:
Any 2-Dimensional art, including t-shirts and skate decks. Any size, no limitations, and each person is entitled to multiple entries if they desire. Works must be original and take into consideration copyright laws. Each piece must be dropped off with a completed submission form.
MOUNTING:
All work must be matted or mounted, and display ready. Please no staples. Skate desks do not need to be mounted, they can be displayed as is and will most likely be hung with strong fishing line. MPS/ Subliminal are not responsible for lost or damaged work-- poorly taped/mounted work tends to fall off the wall…
